During the last months in high school all seniors proudly wore their new college colors, while I wore a smile from ear to ear. Nobody quite understood why I would possibly take a year off and travel to learn a new language. It was unheard of and unfortunately for most, looked down upon, but I couldn’t care less. I was going overseas to surround myself with a new culture, language, and to meet new people and I couldn’t be more excited to dive into the unknown.
A Mix of Black and White
I’ve been in Berlin for over a month now and I’ve decided to post a weekly blog showcasing some of the cool street art I encounter while walking around. Also, I’ve been sending a lot of e-mails lately, so this week’s street art post will be in e-mail format. Berlin, unlike anything I’ve ever seen in the States has an incredible amount of graffiti. But for the most case, it’s considered a respective form of art. In my opinion, it just looks really cool, it gives for awesome photo opportunities, and it is one of the things that makes Berlin Berlin. (Did that make sense?). So here it goes, some of the best graffiti art from my first couple of weeks here.
Hope you enjoy,
